Awareness & Knowledge

...People are more aware of what yoga is now. You don't need to educate people as much. People know it's not something exotic like sitting on a bed of nails. It's a deep practice of self-awareness and self-knowledge that also connects you to those around you in a way that is beneficial to everyone....

About the Yogini in me

My yogic journey started with Ashtanga Yoga at the Yoga Passage (back then it was "yoga in motion") in Calgary in 2000. Then I heard about Iyengar yoga in 2004, gave it a try, and got hooked.

I am currently in year #2 of my teacher training with the intention of going for the Introductory Level assessment in 2010.

I am open to explore the world of yoga with open eyes, yet I consider Iyengar's teachings as the back bone of my practice.
